Programme Educational Objectives (PEO)

  1. Education Practitioners who are knowledgeable in the English language, its literature, and the general and contemporary principles of English Language Teaching and equipped with practical skills capable of using appropriate digital technologies in the educational settings.
  2. Education Practitioners who possess leadership and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders when working in various educational settings.
  3. Educational Practitioners who are professional and ethical in carrying out their various roles and tasks in all educational settings.
  4. Education Practitioners who are life-long learners with positive attitude, entrepreneurial mind set and sustainable practices in enhancing their career.

Programme Learning Outcomes (PLO)

  1. Demonstrate an understanding of the English Language from different aspects, such as its linguistics, grammar, morphology, syntax, phonetics and phonology, literature, and the principles of English Language Teaching in order to address the challenges of a dynamic curriculum.
  2. Apply logical, analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate, select and write suitable materials for the teaching and learning of English for students from different language abilities and socio-cultural backgrounds.
  3. Demonstrate the ability to write curriculum, syllabus, lesson plans, test and Table of Specification and use different teaching techniques in all educational settings.
  4. Demonstrate positive attitudes and strong interpersonal skills in diverse educational settings, fostering effective collaboration and interaction with students, colleagues, and community stakeholders.
  5. Demonstrate teamwork with good communication and interpersonal skills at a level commensurate with their future roles as English Language teachers, language models and leaders in the field.
  6. Demonstrate proficient digital skills for enhancing English language education, including digital literacy, multimedia creation, and online communication.
  7. Design, conduct and report research studies using numeracy skills that address pedagogical issues relevant to English Language learning and teaching.
  8. Exercise leadership according to the responsibilities given or initiated by the professional scholar-teacher.
  9. Demonstrate personal skills such as self-awareness, adaptability, and resilience, enabling effective teaching and professional growth in diverse educational contexts.
  10. Apply entrepreneurial skills to innovate within educational settings, demonstrating creativity, adaptability, and initiative in curriculum development, teaching methodologies, and professional growth.
