UTAR Community Counselling Centre provides services to the community in the following areas

Psychotherapy/ Counselling helps a client identify issues, crises and encourage them to resolve the issues that cause distress. Psychotherapy/ Counselling sessions are often conducted for individuals, family and groups.


Psychological assessment tests that administered to help assess client’ behaviour, personality and capabilities. Psychological assessment allows the psychologist to measure and observe a client’s behaviour and figure out the guided treatment.

Social Skills Interventions are to teach social skills, using social group settings and promote socially appropriate behaviours and communications. The therapist could help the children with Autism Spectrum to understand better and interpret the speech and communication signals

Psychoeducation is a method of education that providing information on mental health conditions to the client and clients’ family. Psychoeducation also provides support to the client and the family member for better understanding on managing and coping with the mental illness.
