About
The Bachelor of Arts (Hons) English Education programmeprepares students to become English teachers as one of their career prospects. The program also exposes and prepares students to various teaching methodology, approaches and techniques to make them a better educator in the future. Besides that, the students will also be introduced to various theories and are equipped with in-depth knowledge of the English language which are relevant to their future career as English teachers, lecturers and researchers.

Highlights of the Programme

  • Students are recruited for English Camps and English workshops in and outside UTAR which expose them to real life teaching.
  • Various activities done through coursework such as reading campaigns, mini-drama and creative writing and production.
  • Students are also recruited to be student-helpers for various events held by the department which will expose and train them to work in groups and manage tasks.
  • Opportunity for student exchange with foreign universities.
  • Teaching practicum
