Online Campaign to Create Awareness of UN Global Goals

An online corporate social responsibility campaign to create awareness of United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has been launched at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR).

The campaign will see 100 UTAR Bachelor of Communications (Honours) Public Relations undergraduates taking part in several sub-projects to raise awareness on several issues related to the SDGs or Global Goals.

PR Awareness Day 2019

Faculty of Arts and Social Science’s (FAS) Department of Public Relations (PR) organised its inaugural PR Awareness Day 2019 at Grand Kampar Hotel on 23 October 2019.

Besides promoting UTAR as one of Malaysia’s leading private higher learning institutions offering quality programmes, the PR Awareness Day was also a platform for the academics to foster closer ties with the industry experts, as well as to deepen current students’ understanding on the PR industry’s expectations.

The ADTank 2.0 was organised by the Department of Advertising of Faculty of Arts and Social Science (FAS) on 21 March 2018 at UTAR Kampar Campus.

Present at the event were FAS Dean Dr Lee Lai Meng, FAS Deputy Dean for Academic Development and Undergraduate Programmes Dr Khor Kheng Kia, and speakers Akademi Seni Budaya dan Warisan Kebangsaan (ASWARA) Academic Muhammad Rasfan Haji Abu Bakar, Ong Min Ho from Jet Fynn Photography and Cheah King Tjun from Lost World of Tambun, along with students and staff.

UTAR Research team wins Best Paper Award

A team of academics from the Faculty of Arts and Social Science, namely Mohd Yusof bin Zulkefli, Mohd Fauzi bin Harun, Nor Ez-zatul Hanani binti Mohamed Rosli and Hashima Mohaini binti Mohammad, were awarded the “Best of the Best Award (Best Paper Award) in consumerism category”, at the 2nd Asia International Conference of Arts and Design (AICAD) 2018, held at De Baron Resort,Langkawi from 3 to 6 October 2018.
