About
The programme addresses the needs of the communication industry for public relations professionals who have technical competence as well as an appreciation of the role of Public Relations within a global environment. Students will develop their knowledge, intellectual, practical and communication skills in a range of contexts, and enhance their creative abilities, analytical skills and management capabilities.
The Bachelor of Communication (Hons) Public Relations emphasizes in-depth understanding of communication theory. In terms of application, students will produce media kits, news releases and audio-visual presentations. They will also learn to organise press conferences, events and exhibitions.
Highlights of the Programme
Some features available in PR Programme make it a well-balanced Programme. The Programme offers well balanced units that comprise theories, communication skills and public speaking, professional writing and academic writing. Others are current issues and practical training such as 13-week industrial attachment, Event Planning and Management, and soft skills. All subjects offered do not only provide knowledge but also skills and practical experience which qualify the students to be hired by potential employers.
